Real support built on real understanding.

A coaching practice built on the belief that ADHD doesn't need fixing—it needs understanding.

At good attentions, we know that your mind doesn't need to be cured, forced, or punished. It simply needs to be met with the right strategies, tailored support, and pacing so you can step out of survival mode and flourish.

Qualifications & Lifelong Learning

I hold a strong conviction that none of us have ever really "arrived" in life—we are all a work in progress. As I often say, "there is always more you can learn."

Convinced of the wisdom in lifelong learning, I have earned several degree-level qualifications across diverse fields:

  • Psychology

  • Secondary Education

  • Theology

  • Environmental Science

Additionally, I hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE) and am currently undertaking a Certificate IV in ADHD Coaching.

Experience & Passion

I spent over 10 years in educational settings working directly with young people, adapting learning models to fit the individual needs of each learner. Following that, I spent a further 10+ years in leadership and management roles within Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisations—coaching and mentoring both adults and young people through various stages of life.

I have a deep passion for seeing other people thrive in life: "Developing others—it’s what I was put on this Earth to do." good attentions is driven to that exact end: helping people with ADHD experience the best versions of themselves for their whole lives.

Personal Connection to ADHD

ADHD has been an ever-present staple in my family. Growing up in the 1980s and 90s, when very few people were diagnosed, my personal experience was really having to "raw-dog" ADHD. Back then, there was significant stigma and a lack of general understanding surrounding the condition—and unfortunately, some of that stigma persists today.

At least four of my family members have diagnosed ADHD as well, which lines up directly with the high rates of heredity documented in worldwide literature.

What sessions should feel like

A Collaborative, Client-Centred Approach

Rather than "riding roughshod" over your psychology and telling you how to do life well, we offer a collaborative, client-centred approach to ADHD treatment.

While ADHD does not simply impact attention, good attentions is all about helping you spend a good amount of attention on the right things, at the right time, for the right amount of time—something many people with ADHD find almost impossible. With the support of a good coach, individuals with ADHD can transcend the limitations of their disorder and really fly in life.

A Holistic, Real-World Framework

We use the biopsychosociospiritual model, which recognises that ADHD impacts all aspects of life. Because of this, we consider a holistic approach essential to happy and healthy life functioning.

Together through the coaching process, we tailor, plan for, and execute real solutions to the real problems you face. There are far more ways to overcome life's obstacles than most people think—and a rich, vibrant, and fulfilling life is easier to grasp than many people with ADHD realise. Hope is literally just beyond the next coaching session.

Strengths-Based & Non-Confrontational

Like a big brother coming alongside you to offer real-world wisdom in a supportive, non-confrontational environment, our coaches leverage a strengths-based approach to help you navigate this all-pervasive disorder.

By developing insight, building on your life's foundations, and implementing clever strategies, we reduce ADHD’s negative impact on your life—helping you step out of survival mode and start crushing life.
